It’s a tale because old as Telly, one show presenting rise to a mega-star on the list of ranks, and Gilmore Girls has had its share equally before and after Melissa McCarthy. Regrettably, it doesn’t appear as if the Ghostbusters star will probably reprise her role while Sookie St. James intended for Netflix’s long-heralded Gilmore revival, according to a chilly tweet in the star.
Granted, Gilmore Girls creator Amy Sherman-Palladino possesses acknowledged for some time the issue to getting former line star McCarthy to fit obviously any good cameo into her hectic agenda, noting to TVLine on the four-part revival:
She’s really f—ing busy. However the thing I have stated [to her team] is, ‘Search, if Melissa is obtainable and has an afternoon cost-free, I’ll write the woman’s a scene. Belle was one of us all. If she has an additional moment to run in excess of [to the set] — even if for one cameo — we would be entirely game. And if it’s a last-minute thing, I would personally write her within and we would figure it out. That’azines the way we left it.
It was a character most of us knew we could certainly not count on in terms of history, because [Melissa] just simply wouldn’capital t have that sort of the perfect time to carve out for us. It just would’ve been extremely hard. Planning around her crazypants routine and her films and her this specific and her that and Ghostbusters… I would just be weeping in a corner with regard to six months. That would be my personal whole life. But if her persons called me right up and said she’ersus free on these particular days or would love to drop by and just be in 1 scene, we would put her right in.
That concept does not appear to have gotten to McCarthy, who sent the world wide web aflutter tweeting:
Thanks for the invite, nevertheless sadly no one asked about or Sookie to come back to Stars Hollow. Wish them all the best!! https://t.co/II2Atug4wx

Ouch. Already preparing to shoot in the future, Gilmore Girls has confirmed to go back Lauren Graham, Alexis Bledel, Scott Patterson, Kelly Bishop, Sean Gunn and Keiko Agena. First producers Amy Sherman-Palladino and Daniel Palladino can once again be at this helm, having left the last year in a challenge with Warner Bros.
We’ll see whether McCarthy ends up revising the girl statement, or perhaps reconsidering a suggestion, but it looks like the winter outing of Netflix’ersus four-part Gilmore Girls series will demonstrate especially chilly.
