Marvel has revealed cherished little of its Video on demand Iron Fist to date, casting under lock and key with showrunner Scott Buck. That said, we may have a very clue toward the actual writing staff (as well as its implications for Jessica Jones), as producer Scott Reynolds may have leaking the beans upon his involvement.
Take this specific with a grain of salt in the meantime, but those following Jessica Jones writer and manufacturer Reynolds noticed a recent bring up to date to his Facebook bio (via ComicBook), ostensibly confirming that the prior Dexter and The Following scribe would work from the Iron First writers room at the same time. Reynolds apparently since altered his profile back again, though the change has been noted in framegrab:
Granted, Reynolds only has writing credit with four Jessica Jones episodes (most notable Season 1 climax “AKA Smile”), one magic if the writer-producer’s presence on the Iron Fist staff would likely confirm that Jessica Jones’ second season won’t enter the writing phase soon, rather waiting right up until after the Defenders teamup. Marvel maintains it hasn’t made the decision between scheduling Luke Cage, Iron Fist, The Defenders, Jessica Jones Season 2 or possibly some others, though Netflix previously expressed inclination to be able to premiere only two Brilliant series per year.
Casting about Iron Fist could arrive any time now (itself the notably divisive topic), but could Reynolds’ update prove the newest Iron Fist hire? What exactly might it say of Jessica Jones?
